Our commitments

UNDP, in collaboration with Business Mauritius, is spearheading a crucial initiative aimed at fostering sustainable development through SDG Impact Standards Training. This partnership underscores the pressing need for concerted efforts in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.

The significance of this joint event cannot be overstated. It serves as a platform to empower businesses with the necessary technical skills and knowledge to accelerate the implementation of SDGs in Mauritius. With the SDGs serving as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all, such training sessions play a pivotal role in driving meaningful change at both local and global levels.

Panagora's Sustainability Manager, Yovan Jankee, is among the attendees actively participating in the three-day training session on Impact Standards for SDGs. His engagement underscores Panagora's commitment to sustainability and its recognition of the pivotal role businesses play in advancing sustainable development agendas.

UNDP's involvement in this initiative is emblematic of its overarching mission to eradicate poverty, reduce inequalities, and build resilience worldwide. Operating in approximately 170 countries and territories, UNDP stands at the forefront of international efforts to achieve the SDGs. By partnering with organizations like Business Mauritius, UNDP amplifies its impact, leveraging collective expertise and resources to drive sustainable development outcomes.

Through capacity-building initiatives like the SDG Impact Standards Training, UNDP not only equips businesses with the necessary tools for transformative change but also fosters a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility towards achieving the SDGs. By harnessing the collective efforts of governments, businesses, and civil society, UNDP continues to drive progress towards a more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable future for all.
